She was the fastest growing artiste in the country and became the first female ever to win the Artiste of The Year even in her demise.
Exactly a year ago, we received the shocking news that the songstress had passed away in a gory accident as she and her friends were returning back from Sunyani after visiting her mum whom she hasn’t been in years.
Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng aka Ebony Reigns who was born on 16th February 1997 and died on 8th February 2018) was a dancehall/Afrobeats artist known for her hit songs “Poison,Hustle,Maame Hwe,Date Your Fada and “Kupe”.
Her parents are Nana Poku Kwarteng and Beatrice Oppong Marthin.She was raised in the urban areas of Accra(Dansoman), but hailed from the Brong Ahafo region.
She started her basic education at Seven Great Princess Academy in Dansoman, Accra, followed by a high school education at Methodist Girls High School at Mamfe in the Akuapim North District of the Eastern Region, Ghana, though she did not graduate.
She quit high school in pursuit of her music career.She was discovered by Bullet from Ruff n Smooth.
