The Dzamefe commission was set up after the 2014 World Cup to look into reasons why Ghana failed woefully at the tournament.
Its members were Justice Senyo Dzamefe, Justice of the Court of Appeal, Chairman; Moses Foh-Amoaning Esq., Lawyer and Sports Administrator, Member, and Kofi Anokye Owusu Darko, a Sports enthusiast.
The commission’s work looked at the team’s preparations, arrangements to send supporters, how money was raised by the then Sports Minister, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, circumstances surrounding how money was flown to the team in Brazil and the reasons behind the confrontation between Sulley Muntari and Moses Armah, an executive member of the Ghana Football Association.
Four years after the Commission presented its report, his excellency Nana Addo who on Wednesday at his meet the press conference, responding to questions on whether his government was going to implement the white paper on the commission’s report or not, indicated terribly that ,he had forgotten about the report.
The president astonishingly delineated extensively that, even if anything at all, the Minister for Youth and Sports Hon.Isaac Kwame Asiamah will advice the government on the direction to take.
However, in an intense interview with Papa Maestro, host of “Hot Sports Reloaded” on Accra-based Hot 93.9FM,the RFA Chairman,Eddie Doku who was sharing his thoughts on the President’s claims, accentuated angrily that:
“The Dzamefe Commission is a bogus commission…it was meant to witch-hunt the football association but they failed”,Eddie Doku passionately told Papa Maestro
Eddie Doku courageously exposed Lawyer Moses Foh-Amoaning who is also a member of the Ghana Boxing Association(GBA) by alleging that, the later is extremely bias, and because football is the number one sport discipline in Ghana,he(Moses Foh-Amoaning) together with some members at the Sports Council decided to use the Dzamefe Commission to fight football.
